Five students of The Learning Unlimited Preparatory School aspire to reach the top in their dance careers pushing themselves to the limit by intensely dancing every day perfecting their technique and are also vigorously getting ready for any up and coming shows produced by the INDISHU dance theater of St. Maarten. These five girls including Marlo Maduro, Katie Caputo, Daricia Arrindell (Mooscha), Jade Durand, Drake Daboul, and Dejah Doncher, these aspiring dancers not only dance non-stop everyday but also keep up good grades and including being part of Highest honors, Early-act, Interact, National Honor society, and some are even Griffins. These students do not only push themselves to be the best dancers but also to be the best academically and socially. Today, many aspiring dancers are looking for effective ways to stand out from the crowd. These kids do the same and are so talented all they have to do is walk into a room and they will be noticed! In the competitive field of professional dancing, it is important to do everything you can to rise to the top. For aspiring dancers who hope to learn how to better their chances of being successful on the path to becoming a professional performer, here are some tips given by the dancers themselves Marlo said “Enrolling in various types of dance classes is one surefire way to stay on the cutting edge of the newest developments in the field. Courses keep aspiring dancers current, and they provide wonderful opportunities for networking and building strong professional relationships.” after saying this she then explained that companies nowadays look for “Eclectic” dancers rather than “Specific” dancers meaning they look for dancers that are fluid in ALL types of dance not just one specific type. Katie and Drake then said that “One great way to put your hard work to use, gain exposure, get professional experience is by performing for local talent and variety shows!” encouraging dancers to take part of any shows they can get on! “Keep in mind that practice truly makes perfect. Once you have learned the proper dance techniques, remember to take time to review everything you learned. Never forget that Your muscles have a memory and the more you practice, the better you will become!” says Dejah Enthusiastically.
